Mountjoy Pupil Progress 2020/21
Target Setting
The National Progression Guidance along with our knowledge of the students and analysis of past data has been used to set targets for pupils in the core subjects. The majority of pupils are set targets that represent an element of challenge within the curriculum they are accessing. Challenging targets are also set within the MS Curriculum/Engagement Steps, ensuring that exceptional progress can be made. By using rigorous and effective systems and assessment tools, we make overall judgements regarding pupils progress and attainment across all areas of the curriculum including personal development.
MAP-My Aspirational Progress-targets reflect the pupils EHCP outcomes and measure progress towards them. These outcomes commonly run across a keystage but MAPS, and therefore progress towards these outcomes is measured annually.
Curriculum data is collated twice a year, at the end of the Autumn and Summer Terms and progress meetings held with staff. Interventions are then planned from these if a pupil is identified as causing concern.
There is a small and skilled intervention team that work closely with the class teachers. They work across all Key stages.
Mountjoy Progress data January 2021
For the year 2020 – 21 Pupil progress is plotted on new assessment tools that accurately fit and reflect the curriculum offer at Mountjoy.
The data below is the first data collation using these new assessment tools. As a result many of the pupils are being baselined on these new tools. This baselining has been adversely affected by Covid 19.
A full years data will be collected in July 2021.
