Arts Awards

For the past three years we have offered Arts Award for groups of pupils across the upper primary and secondary age range. Arts Awards are a range of qualifications accredited by Trinity College and nationally recognised. We offer four levels at Mountjoy – Discover, Explore, Bronze and Silver. So far our students have a 100% pass rate in the first three levels and our first group attempting Silver Award are making good progress. Discover can take one or two terms to achieve, Explore and Bronze take a year and silver is a two-year course. Pupils working towards an award have a weekly art session in our art room with a specialist art teacher who is a trained Arts Award Adviser. The beautiful work they produce is on display in the school and the wider community.

What is a Trinity Champion Centre?

Trinity Champion Centres inspire existing and potential centres by sharing their practice and advocating for the qualifications in their communities and more widely. Champion Centres are recognised by Trinity for successful delivery of Arts qualifications.
