YEAR 7 LITERACY & NUMERACY INTERVENTIONS
In 2012-13 the school received funding of £500; in 2013-14 the school received funding of £1,500. The funding was used to support Toe by Toe; Write Dance; Synthetic Phonics; Numicon; Maths Booster Groups.
In 2014-15 the school received funding of £2,000. Three pupils benefitted from daily reading interventions with 1:1 TA support which provided them with strategies to de-code words in everyday reading. One pupil received sensory integration provided by an Occupational Therapist enabling access to a greater degree of learning in a variety of environments.
In 2015-16 the school received funding of £3,000 which has be used for reading recovery and English & Maths interventions including a multi-sensory approach and the use of augmentative technologies.
In 2016-17 the school received funding of £2000 which has been used for attachment support and English and maths interventions with a focus on computing
In 2017-18 the school received funding of £2000. The funding has been used for targeted English interventions, computing sessions and a specific year 7 Arts Award project
